A Story of Friendship

Once upon a time, there was a cat named Whiskers. Whiskers was a very proud cat. She lived in a house with a family. She was the only pet. She loved all the attention.

One day, the family brought home a puppy. The puppy was small and clumsy. His name was Buster. Buster was very excited to meet Whiskers. But Whiskers was not excited. She hissed at Buster. She swatted at him with her paw.

Buster did not understand why Whiskers did not like him. He just wanted to play. He followed Whiskers everywhere. Whiskers got very annoyed. She wanted Buster to leave her alone.

One day, Buster was playing in the yard. He saw a big dog. The big dog was mean. He started barking at Buster. Buster was scared. He did not know what to do.

Whiskers saw what was happening. She ran outside. She hissed and swatted at the big dog. The big dog was surprised. He ran away.

Buster was safe. He was very grateful to Whiskers. He licked her face. Whiskers was surprised. She had never been licked before. She kind of liked it.

From that day on, Whiskers and Buster were friends. They played together. They slept together. They were happy together. They learned that even though they were different, they could still be friends.
