Comparison of energy prodaction PIE CHART

The two pie charts given compare the proportions of various types of sources by which the energy was generated in two different years (1995 and 2005). Overall, in both years, while gas and coal generated most of the energy, other means of producing energy were less popular.

Regarding the percentage of energy produced by nuclear and others, nuclear comprising of around 6% in 1995, saw a marginal rise to 10% in the next decade. Meanwhile, ‘other’(the lowest), initially accounting for almost half of the percentage of nuclear in 2005, nearly doubled in 2005.

Moving to the breakdown of other means of producing energy, there was a great similarity in the shares of gas and coal; both of them constituting about a third of total energy production, almost did not see any changes in 2005, thus maintaining record highs. As a final point, by contrast, the only decline among all values was observed in petrol which, commencing at just shy of 29%, decreased to almost one-fifth in 2005.
