Lesson 1 BChinese words

The tone is usually the 4th tone, i.e. *bù*. If the next word is also in the 4th tone, the "不" changes to the 2nd tone, i.e. *bú*. E.g. "不好" is *bù hăo*; and "不是" is *bú shì*.

As a radical, it can be written like this: "饣". It shows that the word has to do with food. E.g. in "饿".
