to be quite unique: we will be looking at the top 10 least friendly countries

in Europe according to foreigners who have moved there. We are presenting the list of

the top 10 most inhospitable and unfriendly European countries compiled by InterNations,

the largest global expat network. Every year, they create the Expat Insider, a report that

gives voice to thousands of immigrants worldwide and shares their experiences living in the country

that welcomed them. However, it should be noted that InterNations did not rank all nations,

but only those with higher levels of immigration for work-related reasons. And stay with us until

Number 10: Netherlands.

The Netherlands seems to be a country of extremes! According to Expat Insider 2023,

immigrants are highly satisfied with their working conditions in this country (in fact,

it ranks first in this aspect), but their contentment decreases significantly when it comes

to feeling welcomed by the local population. They particularly lament the low culture of hospitality

in this nation and, above all, the difficulty in becoming friends with a Dutch person. On

the other hand, expats in the Netherlands are very happy with the local business culture.

Number 9: Belgium.

Immigrants in Belgium don't feel very comfortable among the inhabitants of

this small nation. According to them, Belgians don't have a strong culture of

hospitality and are not quick to extend their friendship to newcomers. Moreover,

there doesn't seem to be much leisure options in Belgium, as this small country did not

perform well in the "Leisure option" index either. Furthermore, unlike the Netherlands,

their job satisfaction is also significantly decreasing. In the Working Abroad Index,

Belgium dropped from the tenth position in 2022 to twenty-first in 2023. What could be happening?

comes to the ease of immigrants adapting in the country. Interestingly, they don't

complain as much about the difficulty of making friends with locals, but rather

about the friendliness and kindness of the Czech people, which seems to be quite low. The Culture

and Welcome Index is also very low. Apparently, the Czechs don't make a good first impression,

but then they become a bit more friendly over time compared to other countries we've seen.

Number 6: Sweden.

Sweden is another case of a country that offers great job satisfaction but

limited social opportunities, at least with the locals. Those who move to this country do not
