DuoCards
If you ever tried learning a language and felt like
you keep forgetting everything after a few days, same.
So I started looking for something that would
actually help me retain what I learn.
And the app that I'm going to tell you about
today is what has been working for me lately.
The app is called DuoCards.
It's free to download and actually
helps you learn words long term.
So you go through these flashcards and swipe left and
right depending if you know the word or you don't.
And the words that you struggle with the most,
they come, come back more often and the ones
that you know don't show up as much.
So instead of repeating everything equally, it kind
of focuses on your weak spots automatically.
And you can even build your own flashcards.
You don't have to limit yourself to the
ones that are already in the app.
So every time I travel somewhere, I use
Duo cards instead of a translator app.
I type in a word and it doesn't just translate it,
it also shows you how to use it in a sentence.
How cool and easy is that?
You can even change an image if you
don't like the one that you got, which
is a pretty cute way to customize it.
You can also turn off the image if
you don't want to see the image.
And another cool feature is that
you can add words from websites.
On iPhone, you tap on a word or
sentence, hit share and add it to Duocarts.
The app gives you the translation of that word.
On Android it works in a similar way.
You just tap on a word and add it directly to DuoCarts.
And if you're using laptop or tablet, you can do
the same, but you just need that Chrome extension.
So basically you can be consuming content
