Английската *пунктуация* е различна и понякога *може да спаси животи!* "Time to eat children. vs Time to eat, children." Също така използваме запетая *когато сменяме подлога на изречението*: "My teacher is very strict sometimes, but that's what I like about her." "If you have time, call me."

Проверихме сегашните времена, сега е време за *минало просто.* Използваме го, за да говорим за: - нещо, което *се е случило в миналото* - "I crashed my car into a bridge last week." - нещо, което *се е случвало няколко пъти в миналото* - "I made jokes about him each time I saw him." - нещо, което *е било вярно за известно време в миналото* - "I lacked motivation for my exam, that's why it took me 3 attempts." - използваме израза *преди* в миналото - "I met my wife 30 years ago."
to bear (bore, borne)
to blow (blew, blown)
The strong wind blew the papers off the table.
to be (was/were, been)

to tear (tore, torn)

The news upset him deeply, leaving him in a somber mood all day.
to bid (bid, bid)
She bid farewell to her friends as she left for her new job abroad.
Много хора бъркат миналото време и причастието в глаголите *to lie (лъжа), to lie (лежа върху някаква повърхност) и to lay (лежа):*
to lie (lied, lied)
He lied about his whereabouts to avoid getting into trouble.
to lie on a surface (lay, lain)
The cat lay on the sunny windowsill all afternoon.
to lay (laid, laid)
слагам
She laid the baby down in the crib.
"Imagine you won the lottery. What would you do?"
Imagine you encountered an ancient artifact. How perplexed would you be by its origins?
Използваме *минало перфектно просто (had + минало причастие)*, за да говорим за *време до определен момент в миналото:* "She had published her first book by the time she was ten." Също така го използваме *за да покажем реда на две минали събития.* Миналото перфектно показва по-ранното действие, а миналото просто по-късното действие: "When I got home I realized I had forgotten to buy groceries." "Sadly, the author died before he'd finished the series." Често използваме *already, still, just, ever, or never* с това време. "She was the most astonishing woman I had ever seen."

He had been playing ever since he was a teenager." или когато *разказваме за преживяното до даден момент в миналото:* "My thirtieth birthday was the worst day I had ever had."

Practice makes perfect!
"If you study hard, you will pass the exam."
If I finish this course, I will be ready for the IELTS exam!
Нулевото условие е просто *базирано на факти.* Има *сегашно просто* време от *двете страни*: "If you freeze water, it becomes solid." "Water becomes solid if you freeze it."

*Първото условно наклонение* се използва за *бъдещи ситуации, които смятаме за възможни:* "If it rains, we will stay at home." *ако/когато + сегашно просто време, ще + инфинитив* Можете да се сблъскате и с употреби като *unless, as long as, as soon as* или *in case* вместо *if*. "I'll leave as soon as Lucy arrives." "I don't want to do it unless you treat me with respect." "I will show you to the kitchen in case you get hungry." "You can call my sister as long as you stay just friends."
to deplore

to grab

If you see a good opportunity, you will grab it without hesitation.
*Второ условно наклонение* се използва за невъзможни ситуации, които са *малко вероятни да се случат:* "If we moved to a bigger house, we could get another dog." Структура: *if clause + past simple, would + infinitive* Когато *if е последвано от глагола be*, е граматически правилно да се използва като *were*: "if I were, if she were." Въпреки това, често можете да използвате и чуете *if she/he was* и това също е *правилно*. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." "If she was president, she would invest in education more." "If he were a little nicer, I would consider him a good match."
If I were as nimble as a gymnast, I would join the acrobatics team.

"If I had paid more attention, I wouldn't have to study as much." Структура: *if + past perfect, would have + past participle*
If she had squeezed through the narrow gap, she would have reached the exit in time.

to evaluate
If we had evaluated the risks more thoroughly, we would have avoided the project's major setbacks.
Нека разгледаме няколко примера: "If I hadn't got the job in Tokyo, I wouldn't be with my current partner." Структура: *if + past perfect, would + infinitive* "It's really important. If it wasn't, I wouldn't have called you on your holiday." Структура: *if + past simple, would have + past participle*
