Doer
To hurt; to ache

(To say that something hurts or aches [using verb doer] You use the subject [in this case Meus olhos - My eyes] ... and then you use the verb in either singular, or plural form. So to say My foot hurts Foot is singular, therefore we would say Meu pé dói However, back is singular in English, but in Portuguese it's As costas <[which is a plural] ... so to say My back aches/hurts You'd say Minhas costas doem

Meus olhos doem
My eyes hurt
Minhas costas doem
My back hurts
Meu pé dói
My foot hurts
Minha perna dói
My leg hurts
A perna dele dói
His leg hurts
A mão dela dói
