Two days ago, I left my wallet at a grocery counter.

4. Saya tak perasan langsung sampai saya nak bayar makan tengah hari.

I didn’t notice until I wanted to pay for lunch.

5. Saya terus patah balik ke kedai tu.

I immediately went back to that shop.

6. Hati saya risau takut dompet tu hilang.

My heart was worried the wallet was gone.

7. Sampai sahaja, pekerja kedai terus panggil saya.

As soon as I arrived, the shop worker called me.

8. Dia simpan dompet saya dengan selamat.

He kept my wallet safe.

9. Semua barang dalam dompet masih lengkap.

Everything inside the wallet was intact.

10. Saya ucap terima kasih berkali-kali.

I thanked him repeatedly.

11. Dia cuma kata, “Saya buat apa yang betul.”

He simply said, “I just did what’s right.”

12. Kejujuran kecil macam tu buat hati saya tenang.

Small honesty like that makes my heart calm.

Rule 1: “kot” = maybe / probably (very spoken)

* Dia datang lambat kot.

* Awak tak lapar kot?

Rule 2: “pun begitu” = even so / however

* Cuaca panas, pun begitu ramai orang keluar.

Rule 3: “sebab” = because

* Saya lewat sebab jem.

* Dia risau sebab awak sakit.
